Hello readers,
Welcome to the first entry of my new weekly blog. Be sure to check back every Sunday for new entries. This is where I will be sharing additional insights on my new novel, "Behold a Pale Horse: The Legend of the Pale Rider."
While I refer to my work as being a western, in the literary and publishing world it is considered historical fiction. This is fitting as one of my goals when starting this project was to be as historically accurate as possible without losing the classical elements of western mythology. Namely the quick-draw gunfights featured in almost every western film ever produced.
I feel confident that those mythological elements will be obvious to most readers. What might be less obvious are the historical elements. If I've done my job well, they blend seamlessly with those elements derived solely from my imagination.
And so, each week I will discuss a different historical aspect of the book in a little more depth for those who love history as much as I do. I'll do my best to keep interesting for those who don't. I hope you will check back often.
And, of course, thank you for your support and readership.
